OPEN BOOK

Open Book: A juried exhibition in the Annex Gallery at Taylor Books. The exhibition asks artists to consider the ways in which the written word has inspired, influenced, and informed their artistic practice. Submissions are open NOW through August 31st.

Submissions are open to individuals of all ages and all levels of creative experience. Participants may submit up to five artworks for consideration. To submit, please fill out the form attached and upload photos of your artwork after reading the following considerations and policies. 

All forms of creative media are welcome, with the following considerations…

• If you live far away, your piece should be reasonable to ship unless you are able to drop it off and pick it up.

• If you are submitting a video, you must provide the means of display.

• If any type of audio is included, you must provide headphones for listening. Many people use the Annex Gallery to study, work, and/or get some peace and quiet. We kindly ask that submitting artists be respectful of that.

Policies:

• Taylor Books reserves the right to refuse any artwork and is not required to provide a rationale

• Taylor Books also reserves the right to photograph, film, or otherwise document all pieces accepted for the show and may use the images for promotional purposes.

• Annex Gallery operates on a 60/40 commission structure. Artist receives 60% of retail price.
