If you haven't met Dr. Saville and Leo walking down the street yet, then you haven't met the friendliest pup in town. Leo is a mix the Savilles rescued from the pound, and he couldn't be more grateful. He likes getting to know all his customers, and greets them by standing up to say hello or rolling over to offer up his belly -- just to show people how glad he is to meet them. While we were sad to see Jackson go, we are happy to have Leo around brightening our days with his constant smile and good nature.

Located downtown on Capitol Street in Charleston, WV, Taylor Books is an independent bookstore, cafe, art gallery, and boutique. Opened by Ann Saville in 1995, we carry over 20,000 new titles. We invite you to take advantage of our broad selection of books and wide variety of hard-to-find magazines. Come by the cafe and enjoy a scone or a cup of coffee. As an independent book store we feel it is important to support the Free Speech amendment. We will welcome and host any author or book, regardless of controversy. Every story has another side and should be heard. We will not tolerate any disruptive behavior during the event.

We are currently accepting applications for the cafe! If you want to learn the magic of frothy steamy goodness, click on the employment link to the left. Flexible schedules are required as well as being able to come to work at 6:30 am and closing til 10:30 pm.
Drawing doesn’t have to be intimidating.
Drawing does not have limitations. Students will be introduced to different mixed media approaches to drawing that will spark new creativity in ideas and materials used. From creating 3D drawings to found object drawings and from shellac to materials found in the kitchen, come explore!
